  HUDSON VALLEY'S DOG WHISPERER.  I use and developed the Bob Conklin Natural Dog Training Method.  I do not use food, clickers or compulsion as a from of training. My method of training the dogs brain and not the body has been successful for over 50 years.   How I developed my BOB-CONKLIN NATURAL DOG TRAINING METHOD

I began my training career the same way many dog trainers did.  I started Military training and then Police dog training.  Although i learned a great deal, I was not convinced nor was i satisfied with that type of training technique.  One of the things I didn't like was the use of harsh training methods.  The harder you were on the dog, he would eventually learn what you wanted him to do.  PROBLEM:  Dogs learn to fear the trainer and often depending on the training would view outsiders as a potential problem and turn to fear and or aggression.  It didn't work on shy insecure dogs either.  It took my patrol dog to make me smart and decide to develop my own style of training using the dogs energy and learning how that dog would develop in a pack and how the pack leader would treat that dog.  I had to learn to be a secure and confident leader without being a bully.  Then there was the idea of a good pack leader as opposed to a bad pack leader.  I learned how to apply the correct amount of pressure to the right spots and release pressure on the dogs body to obtained the correct results from the dog without stress, fight or flight from the dog.  This method teaches the dog to pack up with his human leader.  I learned how to become a good human pack leader as opposed to a bad, insecure or aggressive pack leader.  I learned how to get dogs to want to connect with me as a leader and how to pass that information on to my clients.  Customers are amazed how their dogs behavior changes in front of their eyes.

I use energy and the release of applied pressure to the dogs body to obtain the correct result and the dogs willingness to connect to me without pressure, fight or pinning the dog.  Less pressure is better.  When a dog thinks something is in their best interest they learn faster with long lasting results.  With this advancement in my knowledge of dog behavior, I have been able to combine this method for Behavior Modification.  This is a lasting method because the dog actually teaches himself under my guidance and direction.  Once the dog understands this phase of training or behavior modification I can easily transfer this method to the owners.  Since I developed this method, you will find the trainers I have trained using this method.  It is not the common way trainers train.  I believe most trainers do not know how to train the dog without using food, clicker or harsh treatment to obtain stress free results. This method is extremely effective on behavior modification dogs as well.  THE CORRECT PRESSURE APPLIED AND RELEASED AT THE CORRECT MOMENT IN THE CORRECT SPOT WILL OBTAIN THE CORRECT RESULTS WITHOUT STRESS TO YOUR DOG.  THE CONNECTION YOUR DOG OBTAINS WILL LAST FOREVER.  After over 49 years perfecting this method, I have training down to a science.  Allow me to show you and your dog how to train as a team.  This method has been  in addition to obedience extremely successful with my bomb, narcotic, bed bug, protection and termite trained dogs.  Trainers Certification Courses and Dog Handlers Courses available upon request.
