about training. I have 40 years of professional dog training with a number of agencies as well as training family pets. A large part of what I perform is training the owners how to handle and train their dog. The dog builds a stronger bond and becomes a more secure dog through the training. My training builds your dogs personality and does not destroy the dogs confidence with harsh training methods like pinning the dog to the ground to establish dominance. I train through the dogs mind and not the body. The body will follow the mind and then the dog will be willing to submit the body to you allowing easier and more effective training without stress and harm to your dog. It has taken many years for me to fully develop this training. Do not be confused. Behavior Modification and Obedience Training are not the same thing. The two do come together at some point.

Normally I do not go to the pet owner's home to train their dog. I have found that there are too many unplanned distractions in the home. All phases of my initial training plan for distractions in a controlled manner. This method insures that we can address the controlled distractions. For the best results, go to your trainers facility. Don't waste your money on so called quick fixes for problems that have been building in your dog for a long period of time. Training is work, when performed correctly, it is worth the effort.

Bob and Xano appeared June 17,2006 on ABC's Good Morning America and ABC's XM Satelite Radio segment of"When Dogs Attack!" xano performed personal protection while Bob showed the viewers what to do and not to do as well as how to protect yourself from a dog attack on the street. Helper( harry of usak9.net) was trained by Bob at HVK9 ACAD. Harry completed both the trainers certification course and protection helper certification course!
